I would like to welcome your child to a new school year. We are looking forward to a challenging and interesting year. Because parents are an essential part of our educational progress, it will be important for us to maintain open communication. If you have any questions or concerns at any time please feel free to call or send me a message through schoology. To enhance the learning atmosphere, we have established rules that all students are expected to follow during  class instruction: 

1. Arrive on time with all your materials including homework and laptop 
2. Keep your hands and feet to yourself
3. Raise your hand when you have a question or comment
4. Use polite words
5. Complete all your assignments on time
6. Always be responsible and respectful

We have discussed the reasons for each rule. You might want to discuss the rules to make sure your child understands them clearly. In addition, each week I will send home your child’s assessments and progress report  that you will need to sign and sent it back with your child. This progress report will keep you informed of your child’s performance in class. The students will be taught and introduced to many new ideas and concepts. They will be offered the opportunity to problem solve and think critically in both cooperative groups as well as individual learning. Students will be given a nightly homework assignment except for Fridays. I’m please with the opportunity to work with your child. I’m looking forward to an enjoyable and productive year. With your participation and involvement, we can help our students.

Me gustaria dar la bienvenida a su hijo/a a este nuevo año. Porque los padres son una parte muy importante para el progreso educacional de los niños, sera muy importante que tengamos una comunincacion abierta. Si usted tiene preguntas o inquietudes por favor sientase libre para llamarme o hacer una cita conmigo. Para poder mejorar el ambiente de aprendizaje, hemos establecido reglas que todos los estudiantes deben seguir.

1. LLegar a tiempo a la clase con materiales, la tarea, y su computadora
2. Mantener las manos y pies consigo mismo
3. Levantar la mano cuando tengan preguntas o comentarios
4. Usar palabras cordiales
5. Completar todo el trabajo
6. Siempre ser responsable y respetuoso

Hemos dialogado las razones de cada regla. Es importante que usted repase estas reglas con su hijo/a para que haya mejor entendimiento de las reglas. Tambien yo les  mandare el progreso semanal de su hijo/a cada semana para que asi usted este a tanto sobre el comportamiento y el progreso (examenes) de su hijo/a. Es muy importante que usted firme el progreso y lo regrese con su hijo/a. Los estudiantes aprenderan nuevos conceptos y seran introducidos a nuevas ideas. Tambien se les ofrecera la oportunidad para resolver problemas y pensar criticamente en grupos cooperativos e individules. Tarea sera asignada diariamente excepto los Viernes. Es un placer de tener esta oportunidad de trabajar con su hijo/a. Espero que tengamos un año productivo. Con la participacion y apoyo de ustedes, podremos ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a tener un año exitoso.
