Mr. Navarro
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! I am Miguel Navarro, the Assistant Principal at Marvin Avenue Elementary and Language Magnet. I am so glad to have the opportunity to work together with you in providing all our students with culturally-relevant experiences in a safe and friendly-learning environment. Simply because you are reading here, visiting our website, I know something about you. I know that you are curious, motivated, and willing to “roll up your sleeves” and join with our team of professional educators who advocate for all children- everyday.
We continue with our commitment to connect with our families and build relationships with our local community, to bring high-quality instruction and unique learning opportunities for our students. We believe in being inclusive and accepting of all who enter onto our campus. I hope that we, here at Marvin Avenue, can convince you that the work we share deserves to be high on your priority list. This is your local, public school- and it is a cause that is worth working hard for.
I understand that the struggles have been hard these past year and a half. But I believe that it is in these moments of challenge, where opportunities to become better versions of ourselves occur. I wish you all a successful school year and I thank you for being on this journey with us.

Sé que es curioso, motivado y dispuesto a “arremangarse” y unirse con nuestro equipo de educadores profesionales que abogan por todos los niños, todos los días.
Continuamos con nuestro compromiso de conectarnos con nuestras familias y construir relaciones con nuestra comunidad local, para brindar instrucción de alta calidad y oportunidades de aprendizaje únicas para nuestros estudiantes. Creemos en ser inclusivos y aceptar a todos los que ingresan a nuestro campus. Espero que aquí en Marvin Avenue podamos convencerlo de que el trabajo que compartimos merece ocupar un lugar destacado en su lista de prioridades. Esta es su escuela pública local, y es una causa por la que vale la pena trabajar duro.
Entiendo que las luchas han sido duras este último año y medio. Pero creo que es en estos momentos de desafío, donde se dan las oportunidades para convertirnos en mejores versiones de nosotros mismos. Les deseo a todos un año escolar exitoso y les agradezco por estar en este viaje con nosotros.
