Hello...My name is Mrs. Ellison and I will be your child's teacher this year!  I have been at Marvin Avenue for 22 years and have been teaching Kindergarten for 21 years.  Why...you say?  Because I absolutely LOVE it!  I love seeing children come to school with blank canvases, ready to soak up all the learning, friendships, experiences like a sponge.  I love setting the strong, positive school foundation for these young scholars to build upon.  I enjoy watching each child develop at his/her own pace...learning numbers, letters, sounds, sight words.  I love watching your child's progression as he/she learns how to read and write!  YES...you read it correctly...they WILL be reading and writing!  Creating a safe and positive school climate will guarantee that your child will have the opportunity to learn and become a creative thinker.  Each year I love the challenge and look forward watching my kinders metamorphosize from "caterpillars to butterflies."
